JYL Studio UK is a family- and friend-owned wedding photography and film studio based in Berkshire, documenting weddings across the UK and Europe.
I’m Jason Liu, the founder and lead photographer of JYL Studio UK. Before starting this studio, I spent over five years photographing destination weddings in London and across Europe, photographed more than 200 couples and 100 weddings, working with established wedding teams and couples locally and from all over the world.
Those years shaped how I work today — calmly, discreetly, and with a strong focus on storytelling. I learned how to anticipate moments before they happen, how to work confidently in fast-moving wedding environments, and how to capture not just how a wedding looks, but how it truly feels.

Most of the time, we work quietly in the background, allowing your wedding to unfold naturally. When guidance is needed — especially during portraits — we step in gently to keep everything relaxed and effortless.

Because we work comfortably across both format, our coverage is efficient and discreet, without the disruption of large crews or competing directions. The result is a cohesive visual story — still images and moving footage that feel natural, cinematic, and emotionally connected.
For couples who appreciate something timeless and tactile, we also offer REAL 35mm or medium-format film photography as an optional add-on.

ALL OF OUR PHOTOGRAPHERS AND VIDEOGRAPHERS ARE FULLY INSURED AND WORK WITH LATEST PROFESSIONAL-GRADE EQUIPMENT.
DRONE COVERAGE IS AVAILABLE WHERE CONDITIONS AND REGULATIONS ALLOW.
