Booking your wedding with us is not the end of the planning conversation. It is the beginning of our work together.
In the months before your wedding, you can contact us whenever your plans change or you need advice. We can help you consider ceremony timings, available light, family photographs, couple portraits, travel between locations and how much breathing room your schedule may need.
We will never try to take control of your wedding or force your plans into a standard template. Our role is to share our experience, help you understand the options and give you the confidence to make decisions that feel right for your day.
A CALM PRESENCE ON YOUR WEDDING DAY
You should not have to spend your wedding thinking about where the camera is or what you are expected to do next.
For most of the day, we work quietly and observe what is naturally unfolding — the anticipation before the ceremony, the reactions between the people closest to you and the moments you may not have noticed yourself.
When some direction would help, particularly during couple portraits and family photographs, we keep it clear, relaxed and natural. Plans can move, weather can change and unexpected moments can happen. We remain calm and adaptable, protecting the photographs that matter without making the celebration feel controlled by a schedule.
WHAT EVERY COLLECTION INCLUDES
Every wedding collection includes unlimited personal planning support before the wedding, a final details consultation, a carefully curated gallery of high-resolution photographs and a preview delivered within 72 hours.
Your finished photographs will be presented through a private online gallery, where you can view, download and share them with family and friends. Your gallery will remain available for 12 months.
Your memories are protected using professional equipment, multiple backups and fully insured coverage, giving you reassurance before, during and after the wedding.
PRE-WEDDING AND INTIMATE CELEBRATIONS
A relaxed way to preserve the beginning of your story.
The Light is designed for registry ceremonies, engagements and pre-wedding sessions where the focus is on the two of you and the people closest to you.
Across up to two hours, we will create a varied collection of natural interactions, relaxed portraits and the smaller details that give the occasion its character. We will offer gentle direction when it is helpful while leaving space for genuine expressions and movement.
You will receive at least 100 carefully edited photographs through your private online gallery, together with 5 individually hand-retouched highlight images. A short vertical highlight video will bring together some of the movement and atmosphere from the session in a format that is easy to share.

The Aurora is created for intimate weddings and shorter celebrations where the key moments take place within a few hours.
With up to four hours of coverage, we can shape the experience around the parts of the day that matter most to you. This might include the ceremony, family photographs, couple portraits, confetti, time with your guests or the beginning of your reception.
You will receive at least 200 carefully edited photographs, 10 individually hand-retouched highlight images and a short vertical highlight video that brings together the energy and emotion of the celebration.

The Story is designed for couples who want the heart of their wedding documented naturally, with enough time for the day to breathe.
Across up to seven hours, we can preserve several chapters of the celebration rather than focusing only on the ceremony. Depending on your plans, this may include preparations, your arrival, the ceremony, family photographs, couple portraits, candid moments with your guests, speeches or the beginning of the evening.
You will receive at least 400 carefully edited photographs and 15 individually hand-retouched highlight images. Drone photographs or footage are included where conditions and permissions allow.
A cinematic highlight film of approximately one to two minutes will bring together the movement and atmosphere that cannot be fully expressed through still photographs.

The Timeless is created for couples who want the full atmosphere of their wedding preserved through both still photography and dedicated filmmaking.
A photographer and videographer will work together throughout the celebration, allowing simultaneous moments and different perspectives to be documented without asking you to choose between them.
Coverage begins with the planned morning preparations and continues through to the agreed conclusion of your evening celebration. This gives us the freedom to tell the story in full — from the quiet anticipation before the ceremony to the speeches, dancing and energy of the night.
You will receive at least 500 carefully edited photographs and 30 individually hand-retouched highlight images. Drone photographs and footage are included where conditions and permissions allow.
Your films will include a cinematic highlight of approximately two to three minutes, together with a documentary film of more than ten minutes featuring the key moments and speeches from the day. Two short vertical highlight videos will also be created for sharing.
Three luxury wedding albums complete the collection, giving you a lasting physical record that can be shared across generations.

THE SIGNATURE
Your wedding story, from the anticipation of the morning to the energy of the evening.
The Signature is our most complete single-photographer collection and is ideal for couples who want the whole day documented as one connected story.
With up to ten hours of coverage, there is time to preserve the quieter preparations, the ceremony, portraits, interactions between your guests, the details you have spent months choosing and the atmosphere as the evening celebration begins. Because the coverage is not compressed into only a few hours, you can spend time with your guests and enjoy the experience without feeling that every photograph must be fitted into a narrow window.
You will receive at least 500 carefully edited photographs and 20 individually hand-retouched highlight images. Drone photographs or footage are included where conditions and permissions allow.
Your collection will also include a cinematic highlight film of approximately two to three minutes and a short vertical highlight video created for easy sharing.

PERSONALISE YOUR COLLECTION
SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER
A second photographer allows different parts of the wedding to be documented at the same time and gives your final gallery a broader perspective.
This can be particularly valuable when you are getting ready in separate locations, have a larger guest list, are using multiple venues or would like more candid coverage while the main photographer is working with you.

When the collection you prefer needs a little more time, additional coverage can be added without moving to a completely different option.

For couples drawn to the texture, character and anticipation of real film, we can photograph selected parts of your wedding using 35mm or medium-format cameras alongside the main digital coverage.
Each roll is used intentionally before being professionally developed and scanned by a specialist laboratory.

Your completed wedding gallery will receive priority editing and be delivered within 20 working days.

Luxury albums, fine-art prints and wall pieces can be ordered after your gallery has been delivered. We work with professional printing partners to create pieces designed to last for generations.

The collections provide a clear starting point, but every wedding has different timings, priorities and practical considerations.
Your plans may sit between two collections, involve several locations or include traditions that need more time and preparation. Tell us what you are planning and what matters most to you. We will listen first and then recommend the level of coverage that genuinely suits your celebration.

How do we book you?
Begin by sending us your wedding date, venue and a little about the celebration you are planning.
We will arrange a relaxed conversation online or in person to learn more about your priorities and answer your questions. Your date is secured once the contract has been signed and the 25% booking payment has been received.
The final details and remaining balance are confirmed four weeks before the wedding.
Do you travel? Is travel included?
Yes. We are based close to Bracknell in Berkshire and cover weddings across the UK and Europe.
Travel is included within a 100-mile round trip from the Bracknell area. Additional mileage is charged at 50p per mile. Weddings within the M25 are subject to a £100 supplement.
For destination weddings, accommodation, flights and local travel will be quoted according to the location and schedule.
How would you describe your photography style?
Our style is documentary-first, focusing on natural moments, genuine emotion, and honest storytelling. We keep things relaxed and unobtrusive, stepping in with gentle direction only when needed — especially during portraits.
Have you photographed weddings like ours before?
We’ve photographed a wide range of weddings, from intimate registry ceremonies to full-day celebrations across the UK and Europe. Every wedding is different, and we approach each one with care, adaptability, and experience.
Will you give us posing guidance?
Yes — but naturally. We won’t force stiff poses. Instead, we guide you into comfortable positions and movements that feel like you, allowing moments to unfold naturally.
How do you offer both photography and video?
We provide hybrid photo + video coverage, using multiple camera bodies and dedicated video equipment throughout the day. With experience in both disciplines, we know how to capture key moments naturally without disruption. For larger weddings, a second shooter can be added to ensure complete coverage.
What is the difference between hand-retouched highlight images and images in the gallery?
You may select your hand-retouched highlight images directly from your gallery. These images receive meticulous, bespoke retouching, including refined skin tones, make-up enhancement, sky and landscape adjustments, and the careful removal of visual distractions from background on request.
This level of retouching is ideal for statement wall art and large-format prints, where every detail matters.
Is there any limitation for the drone photography and video?
Yes, drone photo and video coverage is included in selected packages. Please note, drone use is subject to:

How will we receive our photos?
Your images will be delivered via a private online gallery, where you can view, download, and share your photos. Galleries are hosted for 12 months.
Who will photograph our wedding?
Jason Liu will be your lead photographer. Depending on your collection, a trusted second photographer or videographer may join — all of whom are experienced, professional, and fully insured.
Will you share our photos online?
Yes, we may share selected images on our website and social media as part of our portfolio.
We offer an Enhanced Privacy Option Add On, which ensures your images will never be shared publicly or used for marketing purposes.
Do you offer wedding albums?
Yes. Luxury wedding albums and fine-art prints are available. Details and pricing can be viewed from your online gallery.
We work with the luxury professional printing vendor to ensure your prints last through generations.
Are you insured? Do we sign a contract?
Absolutely. All photographers and videographers working with JYL Studio UK are fully insured for your peace of mind.
This includes £2 million public liability insurance, professional indemnity, and full equipment and breakdown cover.
All bookings are covered by a clear contract outlining coverage, delivery, payments, and terms — so everyone knows exactly what to expect.
Tell me more about film photography?
We offer real 35mm and medium-format film photography as an optional add-on for couples who love a timeless, analogue look.
Film is professionally developed and scanned by high-end labs to ensure the best quality.
We have collection of more than 20 35mm film cameras, and 10+ mid-format 120 cameras including Hasselblad, Mamiya RB/RZ & Pentax 67. Please contact us to know more about the cameras and films we use.
